Make more money

Let them know you exist.

Seriously – YOU know you exist, you know that your have talent and a service to sell.  No one else does, they’re too worried about their own issues, problems, and lives.  If you put your service in front of them, then they’ll know that you exist, and you might be something that might solve their problem!

As creative professionals – we want to concentrate on what makes us happy – our art.  Marketing, accounting, and the other minutia of being  in business for ourselves tend to weigh us down.  Outsourcing can be the best way to avoid the panic of “Oh, seriously, I do NOT want to waste my time with this!”.  I do it with accounting – some people do it with housecleaning, marketing, or anything else.

I love three things: marketing, writing & photography (with some random PHP thrown in there to keep me entertained ;) ).  I’ve built a successful photography business based on my sales, marketing & writing skills – and I want to help others do the same! I spent 10 years in the sales & marketing industries before I started my photography business in 2005, so I know what I’m doing – and I love doing it!

My services include: bio – writing, sales piece writing, SEO implementation & consulting,  blog maintenance, and e-newsletter creation & maintenence.  Please email me for more information and a custom quote!

Insurance is not boring – it will actually save your {financial} butt!!

January 21, 2010

I will continually talk about finding your “business team”.  These are people who know a lot about an area that you could care less about, but that is essential to running a successful creative business.  These are tax accountants, insurance agents, lawyers, and marketing consultants.  It takes some time to find these people, but once [...]

January 20, 2010

You know that person – the one that is constantly harping about a particular subject – the one who won’t shut up and seems to get him or herself all worked up over a short period of time. Their facebook status updates become odder and odder over the course of a few hours…  well, that’s [...]

Its what I am good at!

January 20, 2010

Sales is an industry I grew up in and worked in for many years.  I have used the sales skills I learned over the years to create and run a successful wedding & portrait photography business in a down economy in an extremely remote part of Wisconsin.  I learned how to sell at the dinner [...]
